LVMH builds on leathergoods strength in third quarter

11/10/2017
Luxury group LVMH credits its “exceptional strength in innovation” with the 14% growth in its fashion and leathergoods brands for the first nine months of the year.

Fendi opened several stores in the US, while Céline saw solid progress and Loewe and Berluti “performed strongly”.

The division recorded €3.9 billion in revenue over the third quarter, 15% higher than the €3.4 billion achieved in the first and second quarters.

The €10.8 billion total for the year so far is 21% higher than the same period last year, after structure costs and exchange rates are accounted for.

“LVMH will rely on the power of its brands and the talent of its teams to further extend its global leadership in the luxury market in 2017,” said the group in a statement.
