Record sales for Jaguar Land Rover

Automotive group Jaguar Land Rover sold just over 604,000 vehicles during the year to March 31, marking a record annual performance. It also represented an increase of 16% compared to the previous year.

It reported a year-on-year retail sales increase of 32% in China, 24% in North America, 16% in the UK and 13% in Europe. 

Total revenue for the year was £24.3 billion, a 9% increase, on which it made profit before tax of £1.6 billion, 3% higher. 

Jaguar Land Rover announced that it plans to invest over £4 billion during the 2017-18 financial year. This will serve to expand its product portfolio, innovative technologies, and research and development, as well as increasing manufacturing capacity.
