Design na Pele inspires furniture project

Brazilian tanning industry association CICB has announced that its Design na Pele initiative, that seeks to build connections between tanners and designers to “stimulate innovation the leather sector”, has generated a new partnership between furniture brand BRV Móveis, design sudio Marta Manente and tanner Cortume Krumenauer.

Studio Marta Manente will work with BRV Móveis to create office and home furniture made from an exclusive collection of Cortume Krumenauer hides.

BRV Móveis’ export manager, Rodrigo Benini, said his company is confident that the project will be successful. He added that the furniture collection that comes out of it will be innovative, on trend and able to meet the demands of “a very demanding consumer”.
