Accessory company turns to Horween for leather
US tannery Horween Leather is providing leather for use in items from high tech accessory company Nomad.

Nomad first achieved success in 2012 with a campaign on crowdfunding site Kickstarter for the launch of its Chargecard product, a USB charging cable the size of a credit card. It has since launched a range of leather accessories.

Horween’s leather is used in the company’s strap for the Apple watch and in a case for the iPhone. Both items are designed to develop a patina over time, so that the product becomes unique as it ages.

Vegetable-tanned and aniline-dyed leather from Horween is used in Nomad’s Leather Charging Wallet (pictured), which has an in-built battery and cable for charging electronic devices.
