Première Vision names winners of PV awards

The winners of the 8th PV awards, which are organised by the Première Vision sourcing event, have been named.

The judging panel, led by Olivier Gabet, Director of the Musées des Arts Décoratifs, selected 6 winners in total, 3 for fabrics and 3 for leather, the second time the latter category has been included.

The Grand Jury Prize for leather, which celebrates the “most outstanding, symbolic and pertinent fabric and leather of the season” went to Dileather in India.

The Imagination Prize for leather, commending the “boldest, most original, most amazing fabric and leather in terms of decoration, technique, finishing, innovation and technology”, was awarded to the Anil Tannery in Turkey.

The Handle Prize for leather, awarded for the “fabric and leather allying the most astonishing tactile and behavioural qualities, those with the strongest emotional impact” went to Japan’s Sakamoto Corporation.

In the fabric category, Indian lace specialists Ventures received the Grand Jury Prize, the Imagination Prize went to UK-based Henri Portier/Bennett Silks and Luxury Jersey in Italy received the Handle Prize.
