JBS to move “ultimate parent company” to Ireland

Packer and tanning group JBS has confirmed plans to set up a new parent company, JBS Foods International, locating the new company in Ireland. JBS has asked investors to back the plan.

In May this year, it established a new entity called JBS Foods International in Dublin but it took until early August for its reasons for doing so to become clear.

Irish media have said JBS will continue to run its Brazilian beef business and its global leather business, JBS Couros, through a company headquartered in Brazil. However, reports say that “the ultimate parent company” for the whole group will be the new Dublin-based entity.
