Government to hand Moroccan leather sectory formal performance contract

The government of Morocco has said it is determined to grow the contribution of manufacturing to its gross domestic product (GDP) from 14% at the moment to 23% by 2020.

To help it achieve this, the government has said that six high-growth industries will have formal performance contracts to push them towards the target. One of these industries will be leather.
