Accessories brands boost Richemont

Luxury group Richemont has reported sales growth over the nine-month period to December 2015 as flat at constant exchange rates, but up by 11% at actual rates.

The Swiss group’s leathergoods and accessories brands, including Alfred Dunhill, Chloé, Lancel and Montblanc, performed well, together bringing in almost €1.4 billion over the nine-month period. This represents an increase of 5% year on year based on constant exchange rates and of 14% based on actual rates.

Richemont said a challenging trading environment is likely to prevail in the final quarter of its current financial year, the period up to March 31.
