USDA predicts growth in Brazilian beef production

Media in Brazil have quoted the US Department of Agriculture as saying Brazilian packers will increase beef production next year to reach 9.6 million tonnes, growth of 1.9%.

USDA is quoted as saying a fall in the value of the Brazil’s currency, the real, and the demand for beef around the world will mean an increase of 10% in beef exports from Brazil in 2016, with packers shipping almost 1.8 million tonnes to customers overseas.
