Vietnam: Leather and footwear exports surge

Vietnam’s leather and footwear sector have earned $8.8 billion in export revenues in the first nine months of the year.

This is an 18.4% increase over the same period last year, according to Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Lefaso, the leather and footwear industry association, is targeting a record $14 billion in exports for 2015, compared with $12 billion last year.
