Second quarter looks promising for Lanxess

23/07/2015
Chemicals company Lanxess has beaten analysts’ expectations with its preliminary second-quarter results, with earnings of €270 million, 7% higher than the same period last year.

It made savings due to its realignment program and the strong US dollar worked in its favour.

“Tailwinds we are experiencing from currency effects and the economic upturn persist,” said Lanxess chairman Matthias Zachert. “But above all, we keep making good progress with our realignment programme. We are increasingly benefiting from the measures that we adopted in the past months.”
The full results will be published on August 6.
