A nine-person delegation from the Ethiopian leather industry paid a formal visit to the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) at the end of May.

CLIA president, Su Chaoying, said co-operation between representatives of the leather industry in both countries has gone on already for a number of years and would continue in the future.

Ethiopian delegates said they hoped to receive technological support from partners in China to make leather production in the African country more efficient.

Mr Su said talks would resume at the All China Leather Exhibition in September.
