Government steps up upgrades to tannery wastewater plant
The local government in Pakistan’s Punjab is cementing plans to upgrade the Kasur Tannery Waste Water Treatment Plant, according to local reports.
A new fat extraction unit, part funded by UNIDO, will reportedly be operational after staff training, and plans for a revamped Chrome Recovery Plant have been submitted to the government.
The International News suggested the wastewater plant is running well above its intended capacity of 12,600 cubic metres per day at 18,000 cubic metres a day.
