Slow start to new financial year for Pakistani leather

Pakistan’s exports of finished leather in July 2014, the first month of the new financial year, brought in revenues of $59.1 million.

This figure represents a decline of 25% on the export revenues tanners brought in during the previous month, June 2014.

Exports of leathergoods and of leather footwear both increased in the first month of the new fiscal year, by 15.9% and 36% respectively.
