Italian leathergoods brand Tod’s has Roger Vivier in its sights, announcing it will begin new talks to buy the shoe company next summer following a failed attempt in 2011.

Tod’s manufactures and sells Roger Vivier under a licence agreement due to expire in 2016 but wishes to add the profitable company to its portfolio.

Roger Vivier grew 1.4% to reach €59.8 million in sales for the first half this year.

Conversely, Tod’s sales were down 2% at €290.2 million. However, its chief financial officer Emilio Macellari, has predicted growth next year. "In 2015, the top line is expected to increase single-digit," he said.
