Vietnam’s leather footwear exports rise 10% in July

Statistics published by the Vietnamese government show the volume exports of leather shoes from the country in July was 10% higher than in July 2013.

Its Ministry of Commerce said 21.9 million pairs of leather shoes were shipped during the month.

In the first seven months of this year, the footwear sector as a whole exported 150.4 million pairs, a 19.5% increase over the same period last year. The value rose 22% year-on-year to $5.75 billion.
