Kenya: new abattoir is ready for business

The local authorities in Kajiado in Kenya have completed a project to build set up a new abattoir in the  village of Mbirikani. The project has involved an investment of more than $100,000.

Speaking at the end of June at an event to promote livestock and agribusiness trade in Kenya, governor of the area, David Nkedianye, said being able to trade meat and hides from the facility would bring an important economic boost to Kajiado.
