Buckman hands out leather excellence award
US-based leather chemical supplier Buckman has named Morshed Alam of Dhaka, Bangladesh, as the recipient of the Ed Weiss Award for Excellence in the Leather Industry for 2013.
Mr Morshed is a technical service manager with 13 years of experience at Buckman and “works tirelessly to ensure safe and appropriate use of chemicals and to assist tanners in developing quality leather products”, said Buckman.
“He is located in a challenging region where his technical knowledge, problem solving skills, and dedication to sound business principles and ethical practice has benefitted the local leather industry immensely.”
The Ed Weiss Award is a company incentive award that recognises outstanding contributions to Buckman’s global leather business.
