Growth continues for Brazilian leather exports

Brazil’s leather industry registered another record in February, bringing in export revenues of $248 million. This represents an increase of 31.3% compared to the same month in 2013.

In the context of ongoing positive export performance, Brazil’s leather industry featured favourably in comments from the country’s minister for development, industry and external trade, Ricardo Schaefer. He said the leather industry had a fundamental role to play in helping the ministry achieve its targets for 2014.

The comments came in a meeting with Brazilian tanning industry association, CICB.
