China: Government campaign hits Lamborghini sales

"It's still a big market, it's our number-two market. But I think, as much as I know about the local policies, and what the government is doing, for the time being it is a little difficult to buy these type of goods," said Lamborghini’s chief executive, Stephan Winkelmann.
Lamborghini, owned by Volkswagen, sold about 230 cars in China last year, and is expecting to sell 200 this year. "It was an incredibly rising market for three years when out of nowhere it came to be our number two market,” said Mr Winkelmann.
He added that he sees long-term potential in India and hopes sales in the US, its biggest market, will offset the China slowdown.
