Success in Bashkortostan

A possibly unlikely area of success has been Bashkortostan, a republic in the Russian Federation, located around 1,500 kilometres from Moscow between the Volga river and the Ural mountains. Here, collaboration between Italian businesses and their local counterparts have focused on the tanning sector.
With Italian help, tanneries, a technology park and a water purification facility have been set up.
