Tatarstan calls for leather and shoe cooperation with Iran

The Premier of Russia’s Autonomous Republic of Tatarstan, Rostam Minikhanov, expressed his country’s readiness to receive marketing and trade delegations from East Azerbaijan during his recent visit to Tabriz, Northwest Iran.

 

Mr Minikhanov met with provincial officials and local tradesmen to discuss economic and industrial issues and encourage bilateral trade cooperation. He has called for joint ventures in the fields of leather and shoes, proposed by Iranian tradesmen in Tabriz.

 

Republic of Tarstan, situated at the confluence of the Volga and Kama rivers, has a population of 4.5 million, with nearly equal proportions of Russians and Tartars.
