La Grande Braderie, an annual event to sell surplus leather and other materials from LVMH brands, took place this year from December 2-6.

But this year, for the first time, the event in Paris was open to the public, as well as to smaller design and manufacturing businesses.

A materials platform called Nona Source organises the event. LVMH set Nona Source up in 2021. In 2024, Nona Source opened its services up to companies outside the LVMH group.

This further opening up of the sale of surplus raw materials stock meant students, start-up designers and lovers of craft at all levels were able to source high-quality articles at the event.
