Double celebration for Porsche with Puma collaboration

Celebrating its 75th anniversary, high-performance automotive brand Porsche has teamed up with footwear brand Puma to help celebrate two milestones in the company’s history.

In collaboration with Puma, the release of two limited edition sneaker collections will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911. The Retro Sneaker, the first in the collection, symbolises the historic 911 silhouette, inspired by the 1972 Porsche 911 S 2.5. It comes in a blue suede colour scheme with red contrast stitching, featuring the starting number 56 on the heel and with a limited production of just 1,972 pairs, in tribute to the birth year of the car. Individual sneaker numbering is found on a leather flap.

The second model in the collection, the Heritage sneaker, takes its motivation from the current Porsche 911 S/T. Featuring a “sporty leather silhouette”, the grey upper contrasts with a cognac-brown lining, drawn from the anniversary car’s colouring. The starting number 63, representing the 911 birth year, is displayed on the heel for this model. Again, a limited run of 1,963 pairs is being made.

The release of the 911-inspired footwear comes in time for the Porsche Rennsport Reunion 7,  an automotive event and the world's largest meeting of classic Porsche racing cars and their drivers. Another limited edition sneaker collection has been introduced to celebrate the event, with the Rennsport Reunion 7 – Mirage Sport Tech' athletic trainers.  Available in classic black or pristine white, it features exclusive Porsche Rennsport Reunion branding on the tongue, insole, and shoe box.
