RLSD renews partnership with Institute of Digital Fashion
Real Leather Stay Different (RLSD) has joined forces with the UK-based Institute of Digital Fashion (IoDF) for the second time for its International Student Design Competition, running alongside the regional competitions.

This year, two free digital fashion workshops under IoDF's IRL x URL Learning Academy will be held on June 14 and 28 for international students.

In addition, IoDF co-founders Leanne Elliott Young and Cattytay will lend their expertise to the judging panel at the RLSD global final in Milan this October.

Emphasising sustainable design and digital futures, the partnership seeks to pursue a shared goals of encouraging the responsible use of real leather in fashion design, rather than harmful, non-biodegradable synthetics.

Funded by the Leather & Hide Council of America, RLSD encourages emerging talent to work with natural, sustainable, responsibly produced leather. The competition is open to students in higher education or who have graduated in the past year.  Students can enter designs online in one of three categories of footwear, apparel and accessories, with entries closing at midnight [GMT] on June 30, 2023.
