World Leather February-March out now
The February-March issue of World Leather magazine is now available to view.
A theme quickly emerges in the Technology section this time with a number of articles analysing the rise of bio-based content in the materials tanners use to make leather. We also have a review of the recent India International Leather Fair in Chennai and a detailed explanation from former technical editor Richard Daniels of a visionary new blueprint for leather manufacturing that he has devised.
We bring details of an exciting international master’s course in leather technology that will start in October, with full funding for an impressive number of students.
In this issue, we also share the thoughts of a number of leading women who are working in or influencing the leather industry at the moment. Debbie Burton of the Leather Naturally campaign features in our Leather Leaders slot, while Gruppo Mastrotto chief executive, Chiara Mastrotto, and animal welfare expert Dr Temple Grandin are key contributors to the Thought Leadership part of our Leather and the Circular Economy section this time.
Finally, in Beast To Beauty, we pay tribute to the talented teams who work on customisation projects at high-end automotive brands Bentley and Rolls-Royce. This story inspired this issue’s front cover.
We hope you enjoy reading all the articles as much as the team enjoyed putting them together.
