End of Stahl deal opens up new avenues for Proviera
Developer of biotech-based products for soaking, degreasing, wetting back, dyeing and finishing hides, Proviera, has confirmed that its new agreement with Cromogenia has come about as a result of a change in its partnership with Stahl.
Under the new agreement, Cromogenia will work with Proviera to distribute probiotic products for the leather manufacturing industry in Brazil and Argentina.
Stahl obtained the exclusive rights to distribute Proviera’s Probiotics for Leather range of products in February 2016. But Proviera has confirmed to leatherbiz that this arrangement ran only until the end of 2022 and has now expired.
Proviera said it aims to continue its working relationship with Stahl but that it was now in discussion with the leather chemicals group about a new, non-exclusive distribution agreement.
In the meantime, it said the Proviera team wanted to remain active in the global leather market and to continue to supply its products to “valued users” in the leather manufacturing industry.
