Another luxury car record
Following news of Rolls-Royce’s record year in 2022, with the company selling more than 6,000 vehicles for the first time in a single year, another UK-based luxury automotive group, Bentley Motors, has claimed a milestone of its own.
In 2022, Bentley sold 15,174 vehicles, an increase of 4% on the previous year and a new record; it was the first year in which the company sold more than 15,000 cars.
Bentley said this achievement was driven by the introduction of a new hybrid model, the Flying Spur, and increasing demand for personalisation services. It brought in new hybridised models under a programme called Beyond100. It is aiming for full electrification by 2030.
Commenting on the sales results, chief executive, Adrian Hallmark, said: “The business overcame significant headwinds and demonstrated great resilience to deliver a third consecutive record sales year.”
