Bentley part of the furniture in Milan

Automotive company Bentley has opened a new atelier in Milan focusing not on cars but on furniture and interior design.

To mark the development, it showed indoor and outdoor furniture collections at Milan Design Week, coinciding with furniture exhibition, the Salone del Mobile.

Bentley’s 2022 collection of indoor furniture offers a blend of materials, architectural shapes, and futuristic compositions, the company said, using materials, motifs and shapes from the brand’s luxury cars, translated for the home.

Pieces include he Galloway sofa, bench and chaise longue. Frames are made up of three layers of wood veneers, reflective of those found in Bentley’s interior car cabins. Soft leather upholstery is another integral part of the collection.

Another element is the Helston Coffee Table, available in two sizes, and a choice of marble, leather or wood for the top. The outer frame of the table can also be covered in leather.

The Ryde ottoman is the first circular pouf in the Bentley Home collection. The company has described it as a versatile piece, ideal for living spaces, bedroom, or office. The outer shell, covered in the collection’s wood veneer, is inspired by the iconic Bentley diamond motif, and embraces a leather seat. “An ode to perfect geometry, the design reveals the master craftspeople’s skills in creating finely detailed and customisable objects,” Bentley said.
