Turin’s turn to host ‘Hermès in the Making’
Luxury leathergoods brand Hermès will follow up on the success of its ‘Hermès in the Making’ event in Copenhagen in October with a new edition in Turin.
The brand uses these events to allow the public to see close up how its artisans work and to learn more about its commitment to sustainability. It will open in Turin on May 19 and continue until May 29.
OGR, a cultural space on the site of a former railway workshop in the centre of Turin, will be the venue. Artisans from ten Hermès business areas will be on site, with their tools and materials, to show how products such as the brand’s handbags are crafted.
In addition to demonstrations of craftsmanship, there will be films, workshops and other events for visitors to see and take part in.
