‘Leather needs to be touched’, says FFTM

The main French delegation to leather exhibition APLF, which will take place in Dubai from March 30 through April 1, will comprise 24 booths, the French Federation of Tanners (FFTM) said recently.

“After two years without APLF, customers and suppliers need to meet in person again. Leather is a material that needs to be touched,” commented FFTM secretary general, Sophie Hivert.

Tanneries Roux, Megisserie Alran, Tannerie du Puy and Megisserie Bodin-Joyeux, plus Tannerie de Vivoin and Tannerie de Montereau, are all due to be present as part of the national pavilion. Hides and skins including calf, bovine, lamb, goat and exotics will all be on show, alongside the latest innovations from French leather chemicals companies.

APLF further added that the French Hides and Skins Federation will also be present in Dubai to display raw hides from suppliers such as Covico, Rives and LCO Group.
