Brazilian tannins producer Seta, based in Estância Velha, recently achieved a significant milestone: eighty years in business.

As the company enters its ninth decade, it is celebrating its support of 40,000 families in the south of the country who grow black acacia on 29,000 hectares.

Seta was established in 1941 and now supplies leather manufacturers in more than 70 countries with natural materials from the black acacia plantations, including vegetable tannin products. The firm remains committed to innovation through research into new “intelligent and evolved” applications, it said.
