Record Q4 for LVMH leathergoods

Luxury group LVMH achieved revenues of €64.2 billion in 2021, an increase of 44% compared to 2020 and of 20% compared to 2019.

Its leathergoods division posted revenue figures of €30.9 billion, up by 46% on 2020 and by 47% on 2019. The group said the leathergoods division’s performance in the fourth quarter of last year, with revenues of almost €9.6 billion was a record.

Chief executive, Bernard Arnault, said the group’s performance in 2021 had been remarkable. “We approach 2022 with confidence and are convinced that LVMH is in an excellent position to further strengthen its lead in the global luxury market,” he added.

Mr Arnault paid tribute to Virgil Abloh, the men’s artistic director of Louis Vuitton, who died in 2021.
