Dior partners South Korean women’s university

LVMH-owned French luxury house Dior has entered into a partnership with Ewha, a private women’s university in Seoul, according to reports from within South Korea.

Founded in 1886, the university is reportedly the world’s largest female-only educational institute at present.

The new agreement will see Ewha students benefit from a raft of Dior-spearheaded corporate social responsibility initiatives, including scholarships, internships, retail management training schemes, leadership masterclasses and the integration of the brand’s Women@Dior mentoring and education programme.

Chairman and chief executive at Dior, Pietro Beccari, commented that the transmission of know-how, education and female empowerment are all cornerstone values for the Parisian company. He added that he considered Ewha to be the best choice of partner for the house, based on what was described as both parties’ shared vision of inspiring and nurturing the next generation of female leaders for a more sustainable future.
