Argentina’s Dubié launches e-commerce
Argentinian footwear label Dubié, founded in 2012 by Nicholas Kirkwood alumna Agustina Dubié, recently launched an international e-commerce website.
Locally made by hand in Argentina, the “responsibly tanned” hides used in the brand’s trans-seasonal shoe collections are up to 96% traceable, it said. Plastic or petrochemical-derived materials are prohibited by the designer.
Ms Dubié’s creations are largely informed by the “chaotic street culture” of her hometown of Buenos Aires, the brand has written, as well as a relatively minimalist aesthetic drawn from performance-oriented footwear. Though a contemporary label, both tradition and artisanship quality are paramount, as Dubié’s new website states.
The site currently recognises the following territories directly: Argentina, Chile, China, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States. Areas not specifically mentioned can still use the website, but instead fall under the “other” umbrella.
