John Lobb steps into leathergoods sphere
Luxury brand John Lobb, known for its footwear, recently launched a line of small leathergoods.

The company has operated in London since 1849 and in Paris since 1900.

Its Paris division was acquired by the Hermès group in 1976, which later expanded the brand’s ready-to-wear side around the world. This aspect of the firm has grown to also have a physical presence in Japan, Hong Kong and the United States.

Since 1982, the Hermès-owned John Lobb has created around 100 pairs of shoes per day in its workshop. Meanwhile, the original, family-owned business in England continues to make shoes to order by hand from its workshop at 9 St James’s Street in London.

The new small leathergoods line incorporates a document case, wallets, card holders, large and small pouches and a leather keyring.
