Designer from Albania wins LVMH Prize
This year’s LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers reached its conclusion on September 7, with Albanian designer Nensi Dojaka emerging as the winner.
As well as receiving a trophy from film start Isabelle Huppert at a special ceremony at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, Ms Dojaka will receive €300,000 and one year’s mentoring from a team of LVMH experts. There were nine finalists in all.
At the ceremony, executive vice president of Louis Vuitton, Delphine Arnault, said Ms Dojaka’s work “breaks with the conventions of womenswear, combining confidence and style”.
