IULTCS makes 20 student places available at November congress
The International Union of Leather Technologists’ and Chemists’ Societies (IULTCS) has donated $2,000 to enable 20 students to be virtual delegates at the XXXVI IULTCS Congress in November.
The congress will run in Addis Ababa from November 3-5, preceded by the fifth World Leather Congress on November 1. Some delegates will attend in person, others will connect virtually.
IULTCS president, Dr Luis Zugno, said the organisation wanted to encourage future leather scientists and technologists to participate in events such as the congress. He said IULTCS had decided to provide the financial means to allow 20 young people to do this and he asked industry professionals to make sure likely candidates become aware of the opportunity.
The Africa Leather and Leather Products Institute (ALLPI) is hosting the congress and it’s to the executive director of ALLPI, Professor Mwinyi Mwinyihija (executive.director@allpi.int), that prospective delegates should apply for one of the 20 places.
