Leather and footwear fairs gear up for September
Italy-based leather and footwear trade shows are again uniting, this time under the #RestartTogether banner, with physical shows lined up for September.
Leather fair Lineapelle will take place from September 22 to 24.
Organisers said: “During this relaunch phase, in which sectors aim to regain ground lost during a year as tough as 2020, trade fairs represent the most important occasion for returning to face-to-face business, meeting and hosting Italian and foreign buyers, unveiling new collections.”
Lineapelle and manufacturers association Assopellettieri have joined forces to launch MIPEL LAB, a section dedicated to leather from Italian manufacturers.
Exhibition centre Fiera Milano has adapted to include social distancing, and appointments can be booked via an app.
Shows that were scheduled for March 2021 were cancelled due to pandemic restrictions.
