Milwaukee tannery welcomes new technical director
Law Tanning has appointed David Bowmaster as its new technical director. He will move to the Milwaukee-based leather manufacturer from ISA TanTec, where he has worked as technical manager of the Mississippi TanTec facility in Vicksburg.
Mr Bowmaster began his career in 1990 at Seton Leather in Saxton, Pennsylvania and continued working in the automotive leather sector with Eagle Ottawa (later, Lear Corporation) for nine years.
His work at Law Tanning will be more varied as the company claims to be the most diverse leather producer in North America. It tans cowhide (grain and splits), American bison, pigskin, deer, elk and kangaroo.
Company president, Ryan Law, said David Bowmaster would bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the business, in finishing, wet end and leather chemistry.
