Leather industry players in East Africa have set up a new online platform called Linea, (the Leather Industry Network East Africa) to establish “a collective voice for East Africa’s leather sector”.

Linea’s aim is to encourage leather-sector companies in Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda and Tanzania to share information and to help each other improve market access and boost trade within the six countries and beyond.

Tanners, finished product manufacturers, hide and skin traders and leather chemicals suppliers are among the founding members.
