COTANCE and industriAll launch collective bargaining project
The representative body of the leather industry in the European Union, COTANCE, and trade union organisation industriAll-Europe have launched a new project.
With funding from the European Union, the new project, ERICA (Leather: European Repository of the Industry’s Collective Agreements) will run until April 2022.
Seven national leather industry associations are taking part, those from Spain, Germany, Romania, Portugal, Italy, Sweden, Hungary and France. What they will do is share details of national collective agreements between these industry organisations and their employees and union representatives.
The project should allow a comparative analysis of key elements of these agreements, which the organisers hope will lead to in-depth discussions about collective bargaining and spread best practice.
