Consumers can opt for synthetic car seats by mistake, says Jeske
The vice-president of GST Autoleather said its research shows almost 70% of consumers prefer leather as a car seat material over synthetics, due to its softness and comfort.
Stephen Jeske (pictured) was speaking as part of the Brazilian Leather Webinar Series, organised by the Brazilian Tanning Industry Asssociation (CICB).
He added there are consumers who have bought cars with seats made of synthetic material believing it was leather, and so this clarification is vital at the point of sale.
Mr Jeske also said automotive production is expected to return to pre-pandemic levels by 2024, with a focus on electric and hydrids.
