The Cobblers targets younger market for shoe repairs
A serial entrepreneur in the US has set up a shoe and handbag repair service to extend the life of leathergoods and trainers.

After researching the market, Warren Barthes said he wanted to “digitise an otherwise dusty and dated shoe repair industry”.

The Cobblers employs second- and third-generation artisans to clean and repair worn items, which are posted to the company’s headquarters and then posted back once repaired.

He hired trainer experts and bought Shoe Repair & Beyond, a family business based in Florida.

Mr Barthes claims there is no such thing as irreparable damage. “You can trust us with your designer Birkin bag or your precious Christian Louboutin red-bottoms.”

When an order is placed, a prepaid shipping label can be used from anywhere in the US.
