Bridge of Weir Leather lines lightest car’s interior
Leather from manufacturer Bridge of Weir Leather has been used in what’s been called the “world’s lightest supercar”, the GMA T50.
The interior of the car (pictured), which was designed by Gordon Murray, is a “striking dark grey and orange leather combination”, according to Bridge of Weir.
The GMA T50 itself, as described by GQ magazine, weighs 980 kg and is “an ultra-lightweight, carbon-fibre missile, pure in form and devoid of unnecessary decoration” that costs £2.8 million.
On social media, the leather supplier said: “28 years after the launch of his iconic McLaren F1, Bridge of Weir Leather was delighted to support the Gordon Murray Design Team in developing bespoke leather for this unique car.”
