Plans advance for Nine Leather Days in Ethiopia next year
Three back-to-back leather industry events are still scheduled to take place across nine days next year, with Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, as the venue.
The fifth World Leather Congress, organised by the International Council of Tanners and COMESA LLPI, will take place first, on November 1, 2021. It will have ‘Leather, a gift from nature’ as its theme.
Delegates can then move on to the leather science and technology event, the XXXVI IULTCS Congress, which will be held from November 3-5 and will explore the theme of ‘Greening the Leather Value Chain’. The call for abstracts will open soon.
The final three days, November 6-9, will then be dedicated to the All Africa Leather Fair (AALF), Africa’s largest leather exhibition.
Professor Mwinyi Mwinyihija, IULTCS Congress president and executive director of Africa Leather and Leather Products Institute (ALLPI), said a warm welcome awaited leather industry friends from around the world when Africa opens its doors in 2021.
