Footwear group Deckers Brands has appointed former Coach CEO Victor Luis to its board.

Mr Luis led Coach’s transformation into Tapestry Inc, a luxury group including Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman. He left in September 2019.

Prior to joining Coach, from 2002 to 2006, Mr Luis was the CEO of Baccarat, where he ran the North American operation of the French luxury brand.  

Mr Luis said: "I look forward to supporting the management team in the execution of global strategies that build upon the success they have driven over the past few years."

This appointment coincides with the resignation of James Quinn, who has served on the Deckers board since 2011.

Deckers owns brands including UGG, Koolaburra, HOKA ONE ONE, Teva and Sanuk.
