Footwear group makes CSCB pledge

20/11/2019
Footwear group Usaflex has said it will encourage all of its leather suppliers to participate in the Brazilian Leather Certification of Sustainability (CSCB) programme.

It said it wanted to offer reassurance to its customers that it will work exclusively with tanneries that make raw material traceability, animal welfare, reducing water and electricity consumption, quality control, and worker health and safety top priority.

Headquartered in Igrejinha, in Rio Grande do Sul, Usaflex has four factories in different parts of Brazil and makes most of its shoes from leather. It also manufacturers a range of bags, wallets and other leathergoods.
