Maserati plant bids farewell to GranTurismo

13/11/2019
Italian carmaker Maserati is ceasing production of the GranTurismo at its plant in Modena, instead updating the factory to enable it to construct a new super sports model, to launch next year.

Work has already begun on new assembly lines and a paint shop with a viewing platform, which will enable customers to view their cars as they are painted.

The GranTurismo and GranCabrio - 40,000 of which have been sold since their introduction in 2007 - will instead become the first models to adopt “100% electric solutions” and will be made in Turin.
