The group now has almost 850 stores in 329 cities and towns across Russia and runs two production facilities. In the course of the first six months of 2019, it opened 110 new stores.
Chief executive, Anton Titov, said on announcing the results that opening new stores, particularly in new towns, and even more specifically in small towns, had helped Obuv Rossii achieve this level of growth.
Mr Titov also revealed that a new system of allowing consumers to pay for new shoes in instalments had worked well. “The average ticket-price when buying in instalments is two or three times higher than when the payments are made in traditional way,” he said.
